Inside the new WRC game by Drew Bentham
Watching the trailer a few weeks back, I was left unsure about how I felt about it. Like many I love it's true predecessor, Dirt 2.0. But as then I reserved judgement. Now with the list of cars being released I'm genuinely interested to see more, but I have a small issue with that. More on that later.
In amongst the list, are a lot of what you would expect, the Rally1 cars, previously seen classics etc. But for me there's some nice little gems in there. I'm over the moon to see the F2 kit cars, they should be a giggle. The 2017 Polo that never saw competition is a nice touch, but I never mastered the Polo in Dirt.

There are some nods to the past from the EA Sports official new car release list, in the form of The MK1 Focus and Seat Córdoba WRC, the latter only scoring 3 podiums in the hands of Toni Gardemeister, Harri Rovanpera and Didier Auriol. I'm particularly keen to see the raft of older WRC and Group A machinery such as the 1995 Impreza and Xsara both winning cars in their day. But I think overall, it will be the wonderful F2, S1600 and S2000's that will bring the biggest smile to my face. Not because they'll be fast, but you can be sure they'll be mega fun.
The full car list can be found below.

The games release is November 3 2023 with a release price of around £45. I mentioned an issue at the top of this article. For fans of Dirt Rally 2.0, its more than likely many will continue to play it, some my have too as this new version is only available on the very latest consoles. If I want to play it, I'll have to upgrade. Looks like there's an Xbox X series in my future...
